Green Is More Likely Than White Around Here

Based on the stats, Saint John has a 45 per cent chance of having a White Christmas.

Claude Cote of Environment Canada tells CHSJ News it’s tough to make a prediction this year given the coming weather systems and what we have seen so far.

He says he would not dare to make a prediction because of all the variable weather conditions between now and Christmas Eve.

We had two storms between the 14th and Christmas day last year bringing 31 centimetres of snow.

Prior to 1960, Saint John had a 70 per cent chance of having a White Christmas.
