Green Party Leader Highlighting The Importance Of Working With Our MLA’s – Not Against Them

Wise words coming from the Provincial leader of the Green Party about democracy.
During a meeting this weekend at the Garcelon Civic Center, held by the Concerned Citizens of Charlotte County, many residents, and even the speakers in the group, were upset at the absence of Charlotte County MLA’s John Ames and Rick Doucet.
David Coon telling the crowd, these days MLA’s feel like they need to be team players within their party. He says this needs to change, as MLA’s feel like they will be lose the regard of their colleagues if they stand up against their caucus for the needs of their community.
He adds this is a big problem in our democratic system.
Coon highlighting the importance for the community to stand behind MLA John Ames, and give him the support to speak out for the needs of our region.
He says it’s a powerful thing to feel that amount of community support behind you, and we need to work with our MLA’s, not against them.
