Green Party Wants Changes In How Child Deaths Are Handled

Changes are being called for in how the deaths of children under the care of the province of unnatural causes are handled.

Provincial Green Party Leader David Coon says there can’t be so much secrecy surrounding these deaths so he wants a standing committee formed to ensure recommendations from the Child Death Review Committee as well as the Child and Youth Advocate be implemented.

He also is calling for the Child and Youth Advocate be given a budget so he can investigate when a child in care dies from unnatural causes.
