A founding member of The Allman Brothers Band has died at age 69.
Gregg Allman passed away peacefully at his home in Savannah, Georgia yesterday.

Gregg Allman fronted the band for 45 years, at first with his brother, but then alone after his brother died in a motorcycle accident in 1971.
Allman received nine total Grammy nominations, including seven with the Allman Brothers Band.
In 2012, the band were honoured with a Recording Academy Liftime Achievement Award.
