Jeff Smith of Hampton has advanced to the quarter-finals of the B-D-O World Championships in Lakeside, England.
Smith defeated Gary Robson of England 4-3 to qualify for the final eight.
He is the first canadian to make the quarter-finals in two decades.
Smith will face tournament favorite Robbie Green in the next round.
He won the Canadian Open this year and the national championship in 2008.
