The town of Hampton receiving $2.7 million in federal funding under the Small Communities Fund and the Gas Tax Fund.
$1.2 million will pay for upgrades to separate the current combined storm and sanitary system on Dutch Point Road and the adjacent streets. There are about 64 homes in the area that require the removal of combined sewer systems to reduce the risk of wastewater backing up into basements.
Through the Gas Tax Fund, Hampton will receive more than $1.5 million in federal funding to be used to upgrade and resurface streets throughout the town.
