The Handworks Gallery on King Street, which closed suddenly the week before last, is reopening today under the new ownership of Rothesay residents Leslie Oland and Lisa Oland.
Lisa Oland is a veteran retailer with a background in marketing and communications. She also owns the consignment store, Exchange On Germain. Leslie Oland is an experienced operations manager.
Lisa Oland says they will fulfill the previous owner’s financial obligations to local artists and craftspeople even though they’re not legally obligated to do so.
