Saint John is seeking input on proposed changes to Rainbow Park and to parking in the area.
The changes are needed to accommodate the new K-8 school proposed for the south end site.
According to the Shape Your City Saint John website, improvements could include:
- New tot lot playground, community garden and dog park
- New and reoriented basketball court
- New location for the Turner-Brewer Memorial within the park
- Continued operation of the splash pad
- New seating, fencing, lighting and landscaping features
An engagement session will take place at St. John the Baptist/King Edward School (223 St. James Street) from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
It will be a chance for residents to learn more about the proposed changes and to give their feedback.
