Have your say on proposed Rainbow Park changes

Saint John is seeking input on proposed changes to Rainbow Park and to parking in the area.

The changes are needed to accommodate the new K-8 school proposed for the south end site.

According to the Shape Your City Saint John website, improvements could include:

  • New tot lot playground, community garden and dog park
  • New and reoriented basketball court
  • New location for the Turner-Brewer Memorial within the park
  • Continued operation of the splash pad
  • New seating, fencing, lighting and landscaping features

An engagement session will take place at St. John the Baptist/King Edward School (223 St. James Street) from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

It will be a chance for residents to learn more about the proposed changes and to give their feedback.

If you are unable to make it to the session, you can share feedback online through Shape Your City Saint John.
