The Energy and Utilities Board invoked its interrupter clause on Sunday.
The new maximum price for heating oil is now $2.18 per litre, a drop of just over six cents.
Gas, diesel and propane prices remain the same.
The most you will pay for regular self-serve is $1.46 per litre while the maximum price for diesel is $2.50 per litre.
