Southern New Brunswick could be in for more heavy rain and strong winds on Saturday.
Environment Canada issued a special weather statement late Thursday afternoon.
“Over southern regions, rain will prevail for most of the day as southerly winds quickly push temperatures well above the freezing mark,” the statement read.
Total rainfall amounts of 20 to 40 millimetres are expected, with higher amounts possible along the Fundy coast.
Forecasters are also calling for wind gusts between 50 and 80 kilometres per hour, with the highest gusts in coastal areas.

Central regions of the province can expect some freezing rain in the morning as temperatures slowly climb above the freezing mark.
In northern New Brunswick, some communities could see 5 to 15 centimetres of snow before it changes through freezing precipitation to rain toward the evening.
“Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada,” said the weather agency.
