High Lobster Prices Forcing Sandwiches Off Menus

The increased price of lobster per pound in the region is having an impact on sandwiches at popular fast food restaurants.

McDonald’s has announced it will not be offering the McLobster sandwich in Atlantic Canada this summer.

According to corporate spokesperson Kristen Hunter, McLobster can’t be offered to customers at an affordable price due to the high cost of lobster.

A lobster sandwich was not offered at Subway Canada restaurants last summer.

We’re waiting to hear from the Subway corporate office to find out if it will be offered this year.
