*Updated at 5:16 p.m. Tuesday*

Many New Brunswickers remain without power after strong winds and thunderstorms ripped through parts of the province Monday night.

NB Power said 1,766 customers were without electricity as of 5:15 p.m. Tuesday.

That is down from more than 12,000 homes and businesses during the early morning hours.

The utility’s website said there are 45 separate outages, mostly in southern and southeastern areas of the province.

Locally, there are 119 homes and businesses without power in the Kings/Queens region.

The Kennebecasis Valley Fundy region has 148 customers off the grid, while four are affected in Charlotte Southwest.

Estimated restoration times for most of the outages range from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. You can find the latest outage information on NB Power’s website.

Meanwhile, Saint John Energy is not reporting any power outages at this time.
