Hooper Statue To Undergo Restoration

An iconic wooden statue in uptown Saint John will be getting some much-needed attention.

The John Hooper statue, Timepiece, will be moved to Hooper Studios for restoration this winter.

City officials say work is needed to restore the wood sculptures after being exposed to the elements for several years.

The statue is expected to be fully restored and returned to its location outside Market Square by late spring.
