Hope remains for those who want to see the St. Stephen Courthouse stay open as well as the one in Grand Manan.
David Bartlett of the Charlotte County Barristers Society says the province was unsucessful in arguing the application for a court injunction against the closures was not filed on time,
He says the next step will be Tuesday morning when court will hear their motion for an injunction to keep the courts open.
Bartlett says the closures would directly impact the judge, prosecutor and court office staff and indirectly it impacts the people at probation and victim impact because they won’t be in the same building anymore.
