Horizon, Vitalité Announce New Year’s Babies

The New Year’s baby in New Brunswick did not wait long to make an appearance.

Hazel Dolly Teakles was born at 2:38 a.m. on New Year’s Day at The Moncton Hospital, weighing seven pounds and nine ounces.

In a Facebook post, Horizon Health said both Hazel and her mom, Kelsey, are doing great.

Just a few minutes later, at 2:44 a.m., Vitalité Health said its New Year’s baby was born at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton.

The girl, whose name has not been released, weighed six pounds and 13 ounces, according to the health authority.
