A house fire reported last night on Route 825 in Gardner Creek.
Fire crews from Simonds, Rothesay, Upham, Nauwigewauk and St. Martin’s all responded to lend a hand.
With quick work of a family member, the fire was extinguished with a garden hose.
Fire crews used the thermal imaging camera to ensure the fire did not spread. It was contained to the kitchen area.
There were no injuries but the home sustained smoke and water damage.
