Several area fire departments combined efforts last night to help with a house fire in Kingston.
The blaze, on Route 845, was called in just before 6 PM and the Peninsula and Long Reach Fire Department responded.
Upon arrival, they found fire contained on the first floor and into the roof.
They quickly put out the fire but the home did end up with extensive damage to its upstairs. Mutual aid was called in from several local fire departments.
Everyone got out safely and there were no injuries to first responders.
The cause is under investigation.
