Hundreds Of Community Volunteers Help Prepare Basic Tax Returns

It’s getting down to crunch time for preparing your taxes with this year’s deadline on May 1st.

The Canada Revenue Agency holds tax preparation clinics every year which are free and typically hosted by community organizations.

CRA spokesperson Desmond Arsenault says most people who reach out for help are grateful.

“The individuals who come to these clinics are generally intimidated by the whole process and they feel very relieved and appreciative of the service we provide as volunteers,” he notes.

Last year, Arsenault says more than 450 community volunteers helped prepare basic tax returns throughout New Brunswick.
