ICYMI: Full-Time High School In-Class Learning On Hold

Just a reminder to parents and high school students.

A decision was made over the weekend by Public Health to postpone the return to full-time in-class learning that was expected to resume Monday, April 12.

This applies to high schools across the province.

Public Health says this was done to allow more time to conduct contact tracing and ensure current COVID-19 outbreaks are under control.

The Anglophone South School District says as a result, families who received notification of bus route changes can ignore them.

The original mask requirements will also remain in place. Students in kindergarten to grade five are not required to wear a mask on the bus, while students in grades six to 12 must wear a mask when seated with another student outside of their household, or when physical distancing is not possible.

Cabinet and the all-party cabinet committee on COVID-19 will revisit this decision during the week of April 26th.
