Impacts From the BC Wildfires Felt In Saint John

Environment Canada issuing a special air quality statement for Saint John and County.

It says a plume of smoke from the fires out west is moving at high altitude across the Maritimes causing hazy skies and a reddish sun.

The smoke is not expected to reach the surface or affect air quality in our region and it will slowly move off to the east tonight.

The statement issued by Environment Canada, the Department of Environment and Local Government and the Department of Health.
