Those with children are getting some extra dollars from the federal government.
The Canada Child Benefit is increasing by as much as $143 per child this month.
That brings the maximum annual benefit to over $66-hundred per child under 6 and over $56-hundred for each child six to 17 years old.
Federal Minister of Families, Children and Social Development, Jean-Yves Duclos says the increase reflects a change in the cost of living.
