The City of Saint John has closed the popular indoor pedway uptown until further notice.
The change is due to the need to eliminate close and unnecessary contact due to COVID-19.
The closure includes pedways connecting the Saint John City Market to Brunswick Square; Chipman Hill to Brunswick Square and City Hall; the Skywalk connecting the Canada Games Aquatic Centre, City Hall and Market Square; the pedway connecting the Aquatic Centre and the Mercantile Building; and the pedway connecting the Mercantile Building to TD Station.
Businesses still open in Market Square and Brunswick Square are accessible from exterior entrances.
