Irving Oil Fined For Price Fixing

Irving Oil has pleaded guilty to one charge of price fixing gas in Thetford Mines and Sherbrooke, Quebec with a fine of more than $287 thousand.

The Competition Bureau reports charges were laid against 39 people and 15 companies in 2008, 2010 and 2012 for their role in a gasoline price­fixing conspiracy.

33 people and eight companies have pleaded or been found guilty with fines totalling over $4 million
