The provincial government is floating a trial balloon of what might be in the provincial budget February 2nd as a way to save money and that’s the elimination of 100 or more senior jobs in the civil service.
Health Minister Victor Boudreau, who’s also in charge of the Strategic Program Review, releasing a statement saying the move is at least under consideration.
The Gallant Government calls it rightsizing the provincial civil service and Boudreau estimates the move could result in savings of up to $45 million.
