Judicial Review Sought Of Judge’s Decision

The legal wrangling over the decision not to proceed with the prosecution of two Bathurst police officers for the shooting death of a 51 year old Tracadie businessman in January of 2015 isn’t over.

Public Prosecutions Services is seeking a judicial review, claiming the judge at the preliminary hearing did not consider all of the relevant evidence and thereby committed a jurisdictional error.

Constables Patrick Bulger and Mathieu Boudreau were charged with manslaughter in the death of Michel Vienneau outside the Bathurst train station.
