Today is National French Fry day, and McCain Foods wanted to find out how you like to eat them.
French fry fanatics were the target of the McCain Foods survey.
52 per cent of Canadians said they enjoyed French fries, as compared with 48 per cent who liked poutine.
Ketchup was the favourite topping,hands down at 34 per cent. Others include gravy, mayo and vinegar.
Almost 50 per cent choose to dip, 35 per cent pour over or sprinkle, and 15 per cent do both.
And did you know that the French fry capital is right here in Canada? Only 15 pre cent knew that Florenceville, New Brunswick is the capital.

Want to take a fry off your friend’s plate? You’ll have better luck with your female friends. According to survey results, women are more likely to share their fries than men. 63% of women compared to only 49% of men.
