Kings Centre M-L-A Bill Oliver says ferry users on the Kingston Peninsula are getting a raw deal by having to use a smaller ferry at Gondola Point.
According to Oliver, the larger ferry has been serviced in Nova Scotia and is ready to return but he questions when is that going to happen.
Oliver says there’s concern the river will freeze over and an icebreaker will have to be used to get the larger ferry back in service, adding to the cost.
He points out 1.3 million vehicles use the ferries at Gondola Point each year.
