Saint John Police say one man will be in court today to face a number of charges after an alleged incident with a knife Tuesday evening.
Sergeant Rick Caswell tells our newsroom they got a call of a man running down the street brandishing a knife in Prince Edward and Waterloo Street area.
Upon finding the man around 7:30 PM a foot chase ensued and when police caught him the man refused to the drop the knife, but once officers drew their weapons he changed his mind and threw away the knife.
As a result, a man will make a court appearance today to face drug-related charges, obstruction and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public.
No one was injured during the incident.
