KVHS Softball Team Nabs Provincial Title

Another big win for the girls’ softball team at Kennebecasis Valley High School (KVHS).

The team picked up its fourth NBIAA provincial title in five seasons over the weekend.

Kennebecasis Valley High defeated Harrison Trimble High by a score of 23-1 in the semi-final.

Rachel McGee and Kate Parker combined for 12 strikeouts on the mound. Lauren Moore went five for five and scored three runs.

The championship final saw KVHS thrash Oromocto High by a score of 9-0. Oromocto won the title last year.

Kate Parker pitched a complete game shutout with 16 strikeouts in seven innings while also reaching base four times and scoring two runs.

Others scoring two runs in the final were Gracie Burley and Rachel McGee.

The team will raise the banner in the KVHS gym at a ceremony in early November.
