The Little Red School House on Loyalist Plaza is being moved to its new home on the west side.
Heavy equipment could be seen preparing the iconic red building for its journey to its new home at Hamilton Homestyle Daycare.
The space is needed for the construction of the new provincial museum going up on the former Coast Guard site.
A call for interested takers was put out in early July by the city and a few weeks later it was announced the daycare would be taking it.
At the time, Heather Hamilton told our newsroom they plan to restore it to where it was intended back in 1969, a historical educational museum.
She thinks it will be beneficial for kids today to learn how their parents and grandparents learned.
