Environment Canada says the current track has Hurricane Dorian moving near Halifax and hitting with full force this evening.
Winds will increase with gusts up to 160 kilometres per hour, especially along the coastal areas. According to the National Hurricane Centre, Dorian will hit Nova Scotia as a category two Hurricane in strength.
Flooding is also expected along parts of the coast due to the storm surge and pounding surf.
