Dennis Oland’s legal team will again try today to get him released on bail pending the outcome of his appeal on his second-degree murder conviction in the killing of his father Richard Oland.
Last month, Justice JC Marc Richard denied Oland bail stating while he wasn’t a danger to the public or himself the public’s confidence in the administration of justice would be undermined if he was released.
Oland’s lawyers have filed an appeal on that are looking for the Chief Justice of New Brunswick Ernest Drapeau to review it.
