Live Osprey Cam Launched By NB Power

If you’re a bird lover, you’ll want to check this out.

NB Power has launched an osprey cam for viewing.

This is a part of their Avian Protection Plan (APP), which helps protect birds and their habitat and improve the safety, reliability and efficiency of their systems.

Birds will often use the utility’s transmission systems as a great place to set up their nests.

There are around 300 active nests currently on the electrical systems or platforms installed by NB Power.

Normally, this doesn’t pose an issue, but when it does, the company says steps are taken to avoid disturbing or destroying the nests while ensuring the power is able to stay on.
