Loblaws Denies Pressuring Employees To Cross Picket Line

Loblaws and the New Brunswick Federation of Labour have reached an agreement after weeks of negotiations.

The Union representing employees at Loblaws owned companies in New Brunswick say employees were feeling pressured by their employers to fill the roles of striking employees in Ontario.

President for The New Brunswick Federation of Labour Patrick Colford says employees were concerned with the repercussions if they didn’t fill in for striking workers.

Mark Boudreau is the Director of Corporate Affairs for Loblaws and tells us that workers in New Brunswick were asked to fill roles voluntary with no pressure.

Boudreau says no complaints were recieved at any of their stores and to suggest anyone was pressured in any way is completely false.
