A hard lesson learned for a local Toronto Blue Jays prospect.
Pitcher Andrew Case has been suspended for 50 games for failing to take a drug test.
Case says he was “in the wrong province at the wrong time.”

The Saint John native says he was training in Alberta at his old college and didn’t let Drug Free know that he would be there, and they wanted to him take a drug test in Ontario.
Case wasn’t able to take the test in time.
He was originally suspended 76 games, but it was dropped down to 50 after an appeal.
His suspension will start in April, so he won’t miss the whole season and he’ll be able to play over 80 games.
Case will start the season with the Lansing Lugnuts.
