A Saint John teen battling through her fears to learn self-confidence and leadership skills at a sea cadet course in Cornwallis, Nova Scotia.
Been Park is spending her summer learning about seamanship at the Canadian Ship Acadia Cadet Training Centre.
It’s her first time attending summer training since she joined the cadet program 10 months ago signing up with the 9 Rodney Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corps.
Park was homesick when she first arrived but now she’s making new friends and doesn’t want to go home.
