Low Number Of Jobs Continues To Take A Toll On Canadians

Looking for a job can be an emotionally draining experience for many people and a new survey shows it may have taken its toll on the 38-percent of unemployed Canadians who agree to some extent they’ve given up the hunt.

The poll, which is called The State of the Unemployed in Canada released by Express Employment Professionals, also reveals that 44-percent of the people surveyed have not been on one interview in the past month and 43-percent of people blame themselves for their situation while 39-percent blame the economy. According to the survey of just over 1800 jobless Canadians, 56-percent of the unemployed are men while 44-percent are women. The largest age group of unemployed people in this country is 18 to 29.
