Maintenance begins this week along the Fox Farm Road overpass structure just east of Saint John.
Route 1 eastbound will be reduced to a single lane of traffic starting Monday, Sept. 12.
Starting next Monday, Sept. 19, the westbound lanes will also be reduced to a single lane.
Gateway Operations says the lane closures are expected to continue until Oct. 28.
