City police are looking into the death of a 44 year old woman in East Saint John.
Just before 630 this morning, police were called to a Melrose Street home about a suspicious death.
A tenant returning home found an unresponsive woman in the backyard.
The woman found on the ground also lived in the home.
She was taken to hospital where it was dertermined that she died.
The cause of death is unknown and an autopsy will be conducted with the Major Crime Unit and Forensic unit are still looking into it.
