A major street closure on the east side will begin today and traffic will be disrupted with Westmorland Road from Ellerdale Street to Loch Lomond Roadbeing closed from today until October 7th to allow for construction on the clean drinking water project.
We’re told by the city that businesses within the construction zone, including a flower shop and hair salon are open and will remain accessible while the work is underway.
The main City Transit route to McAllister Place via the Causeway and from the mall to the Regional Hospital and university will change because of the Westmorland Road construction.
Buses will be using Valley Street which faces Loch Lomand Villa both ways instead of Kilburn Avenue. Buses will also be travelling along Jean Street and Courtenay Avenue both ways.
