There will probably be lineups at the lottery counters today, as players purchase their tickets for tonight’s Lotto MAX draw.
There’s a record jackpot up for grabs.
Senior Communications Counsel with the Atlantic Lottery Corporation Natalie Bellieveau, says the jackpot is $60 million, with 52 additional Maxmillion draws, worth $1 million each. That’s $112 million total to be won.
“The jackpot hasn’t been won for ten consecutive weeks, so numbers continue to grow. The jackpot is capped at $60 million, but if the jackpot isn’t won, we continue to add Maxmillions,” Belliveau says.
Buying lotto tickets at retail locations, could take you a little longer than usual, “People get excited about numbers this big. $112 million this week is a lot of money, and people get very excited. We do see surges in sales,” Belliveau notes.
Tickets can be purchased until 11:29pm tonight, at retailers or online at alc.ca
