A man charged in the 2016 death of Tammy Boratynec in Saint John has entered a guilty plea.
Mark Andrew Carty pleaded guilty to manslaughter during a court appearance on Monday, according to police.
Carty, who was arrested last July, had originally been charged with second-degree murder in Boratynec’s death.
The body of the 43-year-old woman was found in the backyard of a home on Melrose Street in east Saint John on July 17, 2016.
Police said Carty is scheduled to be sentenced on July 4.
