A 42-year-old Saint-Louis-de-Kent man is missing after the boat he was in sank in the Northumberland Strait off Kouchibouguac National Park.
Around 8am, Mounties received a call about a woman who was rescued by a fisherman.
The 42-year-old woman was taken to hospital and treated for injuries.
RCMP say the man and the woman along with a dog were aboard a 16-foot boat that left the national park around 4am.
A search was conducted throughout the day with help from the coast guard, a Hercules aircraft and a Cormorant helicopter but it ended at dusk.
