Man arrested in Saint John business break-in

Saint John police have arrested a man after a break-in at an uptown convenience store.

Officers responded to the 100 block of Waterloo Street just before 6:30 a.m. Sunday.

“On arrival, police discovered that the business had been broken into. The building was damaged, but nothing was stolen,” police said in a news release on Monday.

Investigators canvassed the area for surveillance video and were able to identify a suspect.

A 41-year-old man was arrested for break and enter just before 10 a.m. Sunday.

He was later released on an undertaking including a promise to appear in court in June.
