Man charged in alleged St. Stephen assault

A Listuguj, Que., man has been charged after an alleged assault with a weapon in St. Stephen.

Police say a 40-year-old man suffered what are believed to be minor injuries on Milltown Boulevard on Tuesday afternoon.

The victim was treated at the hospital for his injuries and later released.

RCMP located and arrested a 25-year-old man. He is charged with assault with a weapon and breach of conditions.

He remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in Saint John Provincial Court on Thursday.
