Man Charged In Kingston Peninsula Shooting

Police say a 65-year-old man has been charged following a shooting incident on the Kingston Peninsula.

Mounties were called to Ganong Road in Erbs Cove around 10 a.m. Monday after a man was reportedly shot outside of a home.

A 32-year-old man from Hampton was taken to hospital with what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

Vance Jourdrey of Erbs Cove appeared in court Monday afternoon and was charged with discharging a firearm with intent.

He was released from custody and is due back in court on Feb. 8, 2019.

Police believe the incident was isolated, adding the two men are known to one another.
