Man dies after transport truck crash in western N.B.

A 48-year-old man has died after a transport truck left the road and crashed in western New Brunswick.

Mounties say the crash happened on Route 2 in Meductic, near Woodstock, around 5 p.m. Tuesday.

The passenger, who was from Brampton, Ont., died at the scene from his injuries, according to police.

RCMP said the driver was taken to the hospital with what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
