Man Dies From Injuries In West Side Shooting

Police say a man shot at a home in west Saint John a month ago has died from his injuries.

Officers were called to a home on Duke Street West just before 4:30 a.m. on Nov. 17.

Police said a man was taken to hospital in critical condition with a gunshot wound.

In a news release Thursday, police spokesperson Jim Hennessy said the victim has since died.

Justin Breau, 35, was later arrested and charged with attempted murder in connection with the incident.

“The Crown Prosecutor’s office is now reviewing the incident to identify new charges that will be filed in relation to this incident,” said Hennessy.
