Man Enters Guilty Pleas In Catalytic Convertor Thefts

A 40-year-old man entered guilty pleas to five counts of stealing catalytic convertors

Shawn James appeared in court on Thursday in Saint John where he pleaded guilty to the theft of five catalytic converters.

He has been held in custody since his arrest on these charges on March 26th.

The Saint John Police Force have been investigating several cases of catalytic converter theft including hundreds of the units seized by the Major Crime Unit back in April.

James is scheduled to be sentenced on June 8th.
