Man Facing Charges In Fredericton Weapons Incident

Police say one person is facing charges after a weapons incident on Fredericton’s south side over the weekend.

Fredericton police say they responded to a downtown business for a weapons offense call around 2:30 a.m. Sunday.

They say three people were treated at the scene and transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators said the suspects fled in a vehicle and were later arrested in the Oromocto area, but did not say how many.

In an update Monday afternoon, police said a man has been charged and released from custody with an August court date.

They said the weapons incident was isolated and there is no threat to public safety.
